What PawPhysio does

Everything your dog's
program needs

Every feature exists because of a real problem owners face โ€” forgetting exercises, losing track of progress, or having nothing concrete to show at the next check-in. Whether you're rebuilding after surgery or building strength for the long run.

Insights โ€” what the sessions actually add up to

Logging that your dog did 12 reps is data. Knowing she's holding a three-legged stand for 30 seconds now, up from 20 when you started, and that she's gone past what her program asked for four times this month โ€” that's the thing worth knowing. Insights reads every session you've logged and tells you, in plain language, how your dog is actually doing.

Progress is tracked per body area โ€” front legs, core, back legs โ€” so you can see where the work is landing. And you choose which areas to show: a dog recovering from hip surgery isn't neglecting her front legs, she's rightly focused elsewhere.

Crucially, it stays quiet when it should. If there isn't enough history behind a change to be confident it's real, Insights says so rather than dressing up noise as progress. Read exactly how it works โ€” the thresholds, the sources, and when it deliberately says nothing.

Import a program you were given

Your physio or conditioning coach probably sends exercises as a message. Paste that text straight into PawPhysio and it structures the whole thing into a program โ€” exercises matched to the library, sets, reps and hold times pulled out, and their notes kept alongside. You review and correct everything before it saves. No retyping.

See yourself showing up

The hardest part of home exercises isn't the exercises โ€” it's doing them week after week. A journey view shows how many days you've turned up for your dog this month, your last seven and thirty days, and a calendar of every day you logged something. There's no streak to break: a rest day never counts against you.

Structured exercise programs

Build your dog's program from a library of 96 exercises across 6 categories โ€” rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, gait and proprioception, stretching and mobility, core and balance, and massage. Each one has a plain-language description and practical tips, so you have a reference when you can't quite remember how a movement was demonstrated. Add your own custom exercises too, and run several named programs per dog.

Live session tracking

Log each set in real time with a built-in session timer. Count reps, or time holds in seconds for stands, balance work and stretches โ€” switch between the two per exercise. Record notes per set as you go, with rest timers between them.

Set reminders for appointments, medications and anything else โ€” one-off or recurring โ€” and they show up on the calendar and notify you on the day.

Add your dog

Set up a profile with breed, birthday, microchip, allergies, vet details and medical history. Supports multiple dogs.

2

Build or import the program

Paste in what your physio or coach sent and let PawPhysio structure it, or build it yourself from the library. Set sets, reps or hold times.

3

Log every session

Start a session, log each set as you go, add notes, rate mood and energy. Done in a few minutes.

4

See what it adds up to

Watch the days you've shown up add up, and let Insights tell you how your dog is actually progressing. Export a full history for your vet or physio whenever you need it.

Who it's for

Built for the owners
who show up

Whether your dog is recovering from surgery, managing a long-term condition, or training and staying strong, PawPhysio helps you stay consistent.

Post-surgery recovery

Following orthopaedic surgery, home exercises are critical to a full recovery โ€” but there's been no good way for owners to track them. PawPhysio fills that gap.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Everything owners usually want to know before getting started.

What is PawPhysio?
PawPhysio is an app for iPhone and Android that helps dog owners track physiotherapy and rehabilitation exercises at home. You can import a program from your physio or vet, follow it with a built-in session timer, log every set, and watch your dog's progress and consistency build over time.
How much does PawPhysio cost?
PawPhysio is $7.99 per month, or $79.99 per year, and both include a 7-day free trial. There's one plan with every feature included — no tiers or paywalls — and you can cancel any time during the trial without being charged.
Is PawPhysio good for dogs recovering from surgery?
Yes. PawPhysio was built for post-operative recovery, including TPLO, FHO, luxating patella, spinal surgery and fracture repair. You can track every session from day one, record how comfortably your dog is moving at each milestone, and export progress reports to share with your surgeon or physiotherapist.
Can I use PawPhysio for a healthy or sporting dog?
Yes. Beyond rehab, PawPhysio is built for strength, balance and conditioning — for agility, flyball, working and canicross dogs, and any owner keeping an active dog fit. Build a structured conditioning program, log every session, and track strength and consistency across a season. The same work that rebuilds an injured dog keeps a healthy one sound.
What are Insights, and how do they work?
Insights reads the sessions you've logged and describes how your dog is doing in plain language — how their work has built up, their best efforts so far, and when they've gone past what their program asked for. Progress is grouped by body area, and you choose which areas to show. It only comments on a change when there's enough history behind it to be confident it's real; otherwise it stays quiet rather than dressing up noise as progress. Read the full methodology, including the thresholds and when it deliberately says nothing.
Does PawPhysio use AI?
Yes, in two places. Pasting in a program from your physio uses AI to structure the text into exercises, sets and reps — and you review everything before it saves. Insights uses AI to turn the figures the app has already calculated into readable sentences. It only ever receives those calculated figures, never your raw records, so it can't invent a number. Both are described in our privacy policy.
Can I import the exercises my physiotherapist gave me?
Yes. If your physio or coach sends exercises as a message, you can paste that text straight into PawPhysio and it structures it into a program — matching exercises to its library and pulling out sets, reps and hold times. You review everything before it saves.
What conditions and dogs is PawPhysio for?
PawPhysio suits dogs recovering from orthopaedic surgery, dogs managing long-term conditions like hip dysplasia, arthritis, IVDD or degenerative myelopathy, senior dogs working on mobility, and healthy or sporting dogs building strength. It includes 96 exercises across six categories.
What devices does PawPhysio work on?
PawPhysio is available now on iPhone through the App Store and on Android through Google Play. You can manage multiple dogs on one account, and export any dog's full session history as a CSV or PDF to share with your vet or physio.
Does PawPhysio replace my vet or physiotherapist?
No. PawPhysio is a tracking and consistency tool, not a substitute for professional veterinary or physiotherapy advice. It's designed to help you follow the program your vet or physio has prescribed and share accurate progress with them.
